Eunos Crescent Market and Food Centre takes its name from Mohamed Eunos bin Abdullah — co-founder of the Kesatuan Melayu Singapura (Singapore Malay Union) and, in 1926, the first Malay representative on the Singapore Legislative Council. The hawker centre itself dates back to the 1970s and has long been known for its Malay and Muslim-friendly food. A landmark bright-blue, single-storey building just steps from Eunos MRT and the bus interchange, it packs over 40 stalls into a melting pot of Singapore's hawker culture, drawing heavy crowds at lunch and dinner.
Named after Mohamed Eunos bin Abdullah, Singapore's first Malay Legislative Council member, this bright blue, single-storey hawker centre has served the area since the 1970s.
