North Bridge Road Market started life in 1973 as a two-storey building, before a 2005 upgrading converted it into the single-storey hawker centre standing today — a short walk from Lavender MRT. It now houses 37 cooked food stalls alongside 82 market stalls, serving up local, vegetarian, and Muslim food at old-school prices. Many of its vendors have honed their craft over generations, keeping the centre running from early morning through to late night.
Built in 1973 as a two-storey market near Lavender, it was flattened into a single-storey hawker centre in 2005 — and still runs from morning till the wee hours.
